Japanese design collective Bril has created a unique clock that will truly reflects the passing of time.
Unlike conventional clocks that have the hour and minute hands, the coniferous clock made with a circular cedar frame, marks the passing of a year by its cedar leaves that slowly fades from lush green to brown.
The design was inspired by sugidama—a traditional method used by sake brewers to know when their rice wine were ready for consumption—the clock's leaves can be replaced with fresh new ones by simply removing the nails that secure them to the frame.
