Maltese chocolate artist Andrew Farrugia has made the “longest chocolate structure in the world”.
Setting a new Guinness World Record, the sculpture is a train made entirely out of chocolate that measures 112-feet (34.05 meters) long, and weighs over 2,755 pounds (1,250 kg)—and took Farrugia over 700 hours to complete.
“I had this idea for a while, and I said what do you think if we do this realization of a long chocolate train, you know, because a train you can make it as long as you like,” he told Reuters. “Actually it was going to be much smaller than it was, but I kept on adding another wagon, another wagon and another wagon and it’s the size it is today.”
The chocolate train has two parts: the first seven wagons which are modeled after modern Belgian trains, and the rest that’s modeled after old train wagons.
Farrugia even included tiny details such as a bar and restaurant within some wagons.
The largest chocolate structure still goes to the ancient Mayan temple by chocolate professionals Qzina.
