As his contribution to a group art show, South Florida-based artist Robert Jimenez created a series of up-cycled artworks where he paints superheroes and other comic book characters onto the covers of vintage vinyl records.
Working with the original illustrations or photographs that are already found on the covers, he managed to insert the comic book characters almost seamlessly onto the covers—if one have not seen the original covers, it would not be difficult to believe that they have always featured superheroes.
If you are interested in acquiring these one-of-a-kind artworks, they are unfortunately all sold out—however, Jimenez did mention that he enjoyed making these so much that he worked on a few more, so hopefully he will have a new collection available soon.
