To promote the upcoming film ‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’, film studio Liongate and costume designer Trish Summerville will be collaborating with luxury retailer Net-A-Porter to release a ‘Hunger Game’-inspired fashion line.
Called ‘Capitol Couture’, it is a 16-piece luxury collection that includes jewelry, leather pieces and other ready-to-wear items, with designs that reflect the “flamboyant, over-the-top fashion” in the film.
“Fashion plays an important role in The Hunger Games series and is especially prevalent in Catching Fire, and fans of the franchise will see the film reference in the collection,” said Net-A-Porter fashion director Holli Rogers.”
“This is also brilliant fashion in its own right, and we’re delighted to provide our customers with the chance to purchase limited-edition pieces designed by one of the most original costume designers in the industry today.”
According to the company, it said that the ‘Capitol Couture’ line will be “launched in time for Catching Fire’s release” on 22 November 2013.
