Spotted In NYC: Frolicking Polar Bears Covered In Brightly Colored Feathers

For its inaugural installation in New York City, art gallery Galerie Perrotin is showing a whimsical piece by India-based artist Paola Pivi titled “Ok, you are better than me, so what?”.

Featuring eight almost life-sized sculptures of frolicking polar bears that are covered in neon-colored feathers, this fun installation goes against everything we know about polar bears and appeal to the playful child in us.

On display from now until 26 October 2013, these fantastical sculptures are inspired by a dream the artist had of dancing bears and are on sale for US$90,000.

Would you like to bring one of these feathered polar bears home? View more images of them below.
