Australia’s mail service Australia Post has developed ‘Video Stamps’ that lets users send personal video messages to go along with their parcels to friends and family.
Created with the help of creative agency Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, the QR-code enhanced stamps let users record 15-second personal videos with the help of their mobile phones, that can be viewed on their recipients’ mobile phones—so you can say the things you want to if you were there in person.
All users have to do is purchase a stamp at Australia Post retail outlets—which comes free with any Express Post or Express Courier International during pre-Christmas period—download the Video Stamp app, and stick the stamp on their mail; scan the stamp, record their personal message within 12 hours, and upload the video.
When your package arrives, your friend or loved one can view your video message to them by scanning the QR-code.
A great way of combining modern-day technology with old-school snail mail, the Video Stamps let users personalize gifts and greetings to make it even more special.
