BBC News Anchors Go On Screen Dressed As A Stormtrooper And Boba Fett

The BBC Points West news anchors Alex Lovell and David Garmston definitely got into the spirit of presenting a Star Wars-related news item by dressing up as a Stormtrooper and Boba Fett.

Together, Lovell and Garmston announced the first Star Wars Episode VII casting call which would be held in Bristol—the filmmakers are searching for a “beautiful, smart and athletic” woman to play the part of an orphaned 17 to 18-year-old and a “handsome, smart and athletic” man to play a capable 19 to 23-year-old.

The program, which is known for its cheekiness, presents the news in a light-hearted way and is entertaining to watch.

Garmston even asked his colleague if he had a shot at getting the role, which made their antics more amusing.

Although one may think it is inappropriate for the news to be reported in such a way, this particular news item allowed both presenters to have fun and be creative.
