In an elaborate advertising stint for their new internet broadband line, Italian telecommunications company Fastweb transformed an entire subway station in Milan into Tokyo’s Shibuya station.
The faux Shibuya Station was so incredibly convincing that it made commuters lose their bearings once they alighted from the train. It was as if they had been transported to Japan—they found themselves amongst Japanese women in kimonos, schoolgirls in Japanese school uniforms, cosplayers, goth kids, and other Japanese commuters.
