In partnership with fruit brand Fyffes and comic publishing powerhouse Carlsen Verlag—the creators of Peanuts—Munich-based ad agency Serviceplan launched the fun and creative “Banana Comic Week 2013” campaign to get children to eat more healthily.

The teams behind this campaign created a comic character named “Fyfe”, an ordinary boy who turns into a superhero by eating bananas.

Comic scenes detailing Fyfe’s heroic adventures are drawn directly onto banana skin using innovative laser-printing technology—these “banana comics” are then handed out to children in kindergarten and schools in various countries across the world.

The campaign was a success with the children, who could not wait to see what new adventures Fyfe gets up to each day—they also got the key message that “bananas are healthy, they give you power and they're also fun”.

We think that this is a brilliant way to educate children about eating healthily—watch the campaign video below.
