Blogger and knit pattern designer Stephen West of WestKnits has created the Swants—pants that are made out of a sweater—because “your booty deserves to be as warm as your torso”.
In addition to a step-by-step tutorial that teaches you how to make your own swants—“Pick a pair that you are not emotionally attached to for our first pair”—he has also staged a hilarious photoshoot featuring his friends and himself in loudly patterned swants.
Striking mock-serious, dramatic poses, the subjects of these pictures made the already ridiculous-looking swants look even more hilarious.
On the other hand, we are not ruling out the possibility that this may yet grow into the next big hipster trend.
