For people who read a lot on the go, mobile app Instapaper is a godsend—it allows you to save web pages to read later on your smart phones, tablets and computer. Although it has been around since 2008, it never really had a proper logo.
As a tool that removes all the visual clutter on the page, leaving just the text for easy reading, it is unsurprising that its freshly unveiled wordmark is as clean as its layout. An update of its previous “logo”—which is basically just the company’s name written out in a serif font—this new logo is commissioned by Kris Sowersby under the direction of Justin Van Slembrouck.
In addition to the new logo, the Instapaper team has also revamped the brand’s website, and introduced new functions like the ability to highlight text and share it directly on social media platforms.
