French architect Julie Nabucet was tasked to design a 129-square-foot apartment that could fit the functions of a full-sized apartment.
To pull off this feat, Nabucet designed a platform to elevate the kitchen and toilet, so that a bed which also doubles as a couch, could be pulled out when needed.
She also chose to install a centre piece made out of stacked boxes as a separation for the living/sleeping room and the kitchen. The boxes can also be utilized as storage spaces.
Nabucet explained that she wanted to create a useful space without blocking the visual space or light, hence she had to fully maximize each detail and its purpose.
