Peru is a country in development, and with the construction industry booming, so too is the level of air pollution.

To tackle the pollution problem UTEC and ad agency FCB Mayo decided to create an air-purifying billboard that is capable of cleaning up to 100,000 cubic meters of polluted air each day. This amount is equivalent to the job of 1,200 trees.

Using a water filtration system, the billboard absorbs the polluted air and releases clean air back to the surrounding area, up to a radius of five blocks.

Last year, UTEC and the agency were responsible for the billboard that could produce drinking water from air.
