Mila Button and Lou-ke the Engine Driver
In addition to capturing amazing manipulated photographs of animals, Switzerland-based IT director and photographer John Wilhelm also creates wonderfully imaginative photo manipulations of his girlfriend Judith and three daughters Lou, Mila and Yuna.
His stunning images feature them in fantastic scenarios; one photo shows his daughter holding up a bunch of flowers to an oversized bison, while another shows his two daughters posing humorously as dirt-covered mechanics in overalls.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Wilhelm said he gets his inspiration from television shows and video games.
He also explained his technique, saying that though the majority of his images are heavily edited, not all of them are compositions. “If an image works straight out of the camera I just improve it (beauty retouching, cleanup, level corrections, sharpening, colors and tones, emphasize light, etc). What I really love is to bring different images together to create something completely new.”
With their delightful scenes and enthusiastic subjects, Wilhelm’s pictures are a great example of the wonders that occur when boundless imagination collide with creative digital manipulation.
