For the past three years, Apple has been at the top of the Brandz Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands, a yearly study conducted by Millward Brown, as commissioned by WPP.
However, in 2014, Google has beaten the competition to become the “world’s most valuable brand” with an impressive 40% growth in brand value—Apple has been pushed down to second place with a 20% decline in brand value.
Following these two companies, the rest of the Top 10 most valuable global brands are IBM, Microsoft, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, VISA, AT&T, Marlboro and Amazon.
Other interesting findings from the study include how Twitter and LinkedIn have both entered the rankings for the first time.
