You never know what may spark the next viral internet meme—when Redditer Theone211 posted a picture of his neighbour, a little boy named Carter who was hungry and asked him for a banana, he probably did not know that he was providing material for a hilarious new meme.
The picture he uploaded onto Reddit has the simple caption, “This is Carter. He knocked on my door to ask if he could have a banana then left.”
The Reddit community saw this as an opportunity to work some creative meme magic, and the photo of Carter was soon popping up in the most unlikely of places and scenes. For instance, Carter has already made an appearance on a glamorous red carpet event, been spotted on a cliff that is hanging over a spectacular view and even on a John Carter movie poster.
