Spanish artist García de Marina has a playful series of photographs that features everyday objects creatively arranged to form witty statements.
He re-interprets mundane things into humorous compositions that are a clever play on their use or nature.
A pair of spoons gets turned into glasses and a comb is reimagined as a rake sweeping away locks of hair, while bird footprints leading away from a cracked egg make it look as if a chick has hatched.
“They are very simple images. I try to create images that are easy to understand–and that hopefully don’t need any kind of explanations. I want to make an impact, give my viewers a little surprise. I hope that they will inquire more, and do further examinations.”
