Portable Picnic Table To Be Worn Around Necks, Suspends Between Diners

Graduates from the Tunghai University in Taiwan has made the “Napkin Table”, a portable table for two that diners hang around their necks to create a space for impromptu picnics.

Fastening two fabric straps around their necks, users would be able to suspend a small table top between them, on which they can place their food and drinks. This unusual table is designed to facilitate conversation and connection, as it forces the diners to sit close together.

Cups and cutlery are held securely in special pockets, while attached napkins allows users to wipe their mouths during the meal—when it is no longer needed, the Napkin Table would fold up into a small size, convenient for storage and transport.
