Water Is Life and DDB New York have collaborated once again in this heartbreaking PSA that tells the tragic story of a young girl who was born in the slums of India.
Titled ‘The Girl Who Couldn’t Cry’, the ad shows the many hardships that the girl had to endure while growing up, like being born and raised in a brothel, watching her brother die, and being forced to marry underage.
Despite all these tragic events, she is unable to cry due to extreme dehydration and the lack of clean drinking water.
The ad ends with the message emphasizing that dehydration makes desperate situations seem much worse.
Emotionally charged and powerful, it does a good job in promoting the importance of clean water.
