New York City-based mobile technology company DWNLD has created an app of the same name that turns websites into personalized, intuitive apps.
Developed for iOS, it features an easy-to-use interface that helps you create apps for iPhone and iPad without the need for code.
Start by entering the address of your website to import content. The app condenses your website and generates a preview of your app within seconds.
The highlight is the ability to customize your app—choose from a variety of pre-loaded themes and edit typefaces, navigation options, color schemes, and more. Once you’re satisfied, submit your app to the Apple App store.
The ‘DWNLD’ app works best for blogs and publications, but the creators hope to include more content types that can accommodate other screen sizes, such as recipes and restaurant menus.
It is currently available at a Basic plan of US$15 a month, with Standard and Pro plans that support both iOS and Android, expected to be rolled out soon.
