Located at Montegrotto Terme, Italy, within the complex of Hotel Terme Millepini, is ‘Y-40 The Deep Joy’—‘the world’s deepest swimming pool’.
Designed by Emanuele Boaretto, the Y-40 measures 21 by 18-meters and has a depth of 42-meters. “Y-40 is unique in its field thanks to the spa water (that fills up the pool),” said Boaretto, which allows the temperature of the pool to remain at a constant 32-34 Celsius.
The pool is open all year round and offers activities such as scuba and professional diving, and can even be utilized as a film set.
