You may have heard of the horror stories about working in a sweatshop—to discover the reality of sweatshop workers, a trio of Norwegian fashion bloggers spent a month living their life in Cambodia.
Over this period of time, they were restricted to the budget of US$130 a month, which is what a typical garment sweatshop worker earns—for a blogger who usually spends about US$600 just on clothes, this is definitely a massive cut.
This social experiment is the subject of SweatShop: Dead Cheap Fashion, a Norwegian documentary that seeks to unveils the truth behind today’s fashion industry, a glamorous world that is often sustained by tragic tales of third world sweatshops.
