Stunning Plaid Swatches That Are Made Up Of Thousands Of People





Beijing artist Zhang Bojun has created a series of fuzzy, plaid-like swatches made with digital compositions of thousands of strangers.



For his series ‘We’, Zhang took photographs of crowds mulling about Beijing’s streets during his daily walks and reassembled them digitally to produce amazing, repetitive patterns reminiscent of plaid and tartan fabrics.



Zhang wrote that he created these composites to explore the theme of migration and “the dashed dreams of life” in the big city.
