For many who dream about having a creative career, being a graphic designer seems like a pretty sweet job—in the words of Holly Karlsson, the US director of graphic design school Shillington Education, it is “fun, flexible and positively overflowing with creativity”.
Karlsson recently penned an inspiring article for art and design website Creative Boom, in which she discusses “13 reasons why you should follow your dreams and become a graphic designer”.
Including important considerations like how there is a high demand for good designers—which means that there are jobs out there for earning a living—and more light-hearted ones like how “you can wear trainers to work”, these reasons are meant to persuade those who are on the brink for a career change to take the leap.
