Daily Inspiration: Diablito Maldito by Menta Picante

Today’s daily inspiration comes from Menta Picante, a design studio based in Guadalajara, Mexico. They’ve brought us a sweet brand identity project for a local Mexican treat, tamarind popsicles!

Menta’s task for their client, was to create an identity to introduce these traditional candies to international markets.

The name Diablito Maldito originates from the folklore and the trickery from the devil, or El’ Diablo and the relationship of Mexican culture with chili. With this in mind, they’ve developed a spicy illustration that’s fresh and modern as the brand’s identity.

Minimalist at heart, the entire branding process utilizes a vibrant combination of black and red, with a grungy style to appeal to young audiences.
