Elegant, Minimalist Egg Packaging Made With A Single Piece Of Cardboard

Mexican design students Aimee Domínguez & Daniela Fonseca has created an innovative, brilliantly simple packaging concept that would contain two eggs.

Designed to “reduce the environmental impact of the material and printing inks”, this ‘Coop’ packaging holds the eggs in an open-ended angular roll that is made from one piece of cardboard—it can also be assembled for use without the need for glue.

The packaging’s triangular compartments are inspired by organic coops found on traditional farms—this minimalist and elegant design features cut-out holes that hold the eggs snugly.
