If you belong to the camp that uses Adobe Camera Raw, here is some good news!

Following its announcement of an updated Lightroom CC yesterday, Adobe also discreetly unveiled ‘Camera Raw 9’ in Photoshop CC.

Camera Raw 9 welcomes similar improvements that were seen in Lightroom CC—panorama and HDR merge and faster image editing, as Camera Raw uses the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) that will come in handy when using high-resolution screens.

Other enhancements to Camera Raw 9 include new camera support, new lens profiles and bug fixes.

Adobe stated: “Camera Raw 9.0 is now available as a final release through the update mechanism in Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC. […] Updates to Camera Raw for Photoshop CS6 only include new camera support, lens profile support, and bug fixes. The new features listed in the release notes are only available in Photoshop CC.”
