As part of its ‘Welcome to M’ campaign, McDonald’s Canada pulled a delightful stunt to bring unsuspecting strangers together when they least expected it.
It created a special bench in a shopping mall that gave out surprises when two people sat on it.
A screen behind would flash “Welcome to McDonald’s” while playing a jingle, and a hidden panel in the middle of the bench would pop out with a tray holding fries, coffee or nuggets.
Aside from injecting a little joy into their day, the stunt enabled the strangers to bond over their shared experience.
