FastCo Studios has created a video that take us through the brand evolution of Disney’s success with its princesses.



It was only in the early 1990s when Disney realized the marketing potential for their princess characters—the success of Cinderella had allowed the company to build Disneyland, while Sleeping Beauty caused Disney to announced its first loss since the 1940s.



The highest-grossing animated film in all its history would be the release of Frozen in 2013, which single-handedly contributed to the US toy industry.
