
Artists have found many ways to make art out of paper, but Berlin-based artist Aleksandra Domanović’s stacked paper art has to be a first.
From far, they look like art printed on the sides of white blocks, but the process is far more meticulous—Domanovic sets her inkjet printer to the ‘borderless print’ option and prints pages in a specific order to achieve the desired effect.
The result: abstract prints formed on the edges of stacked papers, which have beautiful gradient hues resembling watercolor sploshes. The artist creates more white space by sandwiching the printed paper between more sheets of white paper.
