In Electrolux’s ad for its new ‘UltraCaptic’ vacuum cleaner, Thai artist Chalit Nakpawa uses the device to create his signature colored mandala art.

The ad, conceived by Saatchi & Saatchi Thailand, features the artist packing a compounded mound of dust into the cleaner, which he then releases onto the floor as powdered dust. Using the vacuum cleaner’s various settings, he meticulously creates an intricate mandala from the colored dust.

To further showcase the vacuum cleaner’s power, Nakpawa uses it to suck every single molecule of dust back into the device, revealing a pristine white floor.

The dust is ‘packed’ into its original compounded state, demonstrating the vacuum’s ability to “[compress] dust and dirt into a disposal pod to prevent it from diffusing into the air”. Watch the creative ad below.
