A bank in Russia, Alfa-Bank, has given their customers a good reason to stay fit, and that’s better interest rates.

Using fitness trackers, like RunKeeper,Fitbit or Jawbone UP, an online ‘Activity™’ platform monitors customers’ movements and transfers small amounts of their money to a special savings account depending on how much they exercise.

This special savings account has a high interest rate of 6% per annum, and the only way to have access to this account is to log fit scores in your fitness trackers.

Created by Moscow-based marketing consultancy and advertising agency 42 Agency, this is the first of its kind software that rewards account holders for leading active lifestyles.
