Hyperrealistic Paintings Add Fun Street Life To Blank Building Walls

French artist Patrick Commecy and his team from A-Fresco transforms blank wall on buildings with tromp l'oeil effects, creating illusions of hyperrealistic scenes around France.

These painted-on windows, balconies and tiles closely resemble their real-life counterparts, and are "home" to famous celebrities and influential figures, who can be seen peering out into the world.

Each mural is unique and adds life to its surroundings. One such painting is made on a run-down and neglected Montpelier building—in it, "influential Montpelier residents throughout history" can be seen hanging out in lively alfresco outdoor spaces.
