Incredibly Detailed Cityscapes That Seem To Stretch On Infinitely

Artist Benjamin Sack creates incredibly detailed cityscapes that seem to stretch into infinity.

Sack uses a 0.05 Staedtler pigment liner to draw each cityscape, patiently rendering the details until there is no more ink left. He then uses another pen to continue, and does this for several months until his drawing is complete.

Many of his drawings are huge in nature—one of his pieces, ‘A Single Note’, is 12.5 feet long.

From these drawings, it is easy to see that Sack is fascinated with architecture, history, and geography. He has detailed his astute observations on urban sprawl and has also illustrated Gothic-inspired cathedrals. His works also combine the ancient world with a little surrealism as there is an otherworldly quality to them.
