The New Age Post-It Note? Concept For A Smart Task Reminder Object For Your Desk

Brazillian design student Lucas Neumann de Antonio has created a concept for a new type of productivity tool.

It is called Bossy, and it is a tool that combines the function of the ubiquitous Post-It note with web and sync capabilities.

Bossy looks like a paperweight on your desk, but has a touchscreen that displays up to three tasks at a time. It syncs data from task management software like Omnifocus, Wunderlist, and Asana, as well as calendars, email and custom software, keeping you seamlessly on track.

Once the tasks are completed, the user can just touch the object to mark it done and the next item is displayed. Unlike productivity apps that just get forgotten eventually, an object on your desk makes you aware of the physical action you must take to mark it off your to-do list.

“The circle, in my case, came from the idea of something the person could hold, like a stress ball, in their hands,” says de Antonio. “Something with a nice touch, that could be soothing, zen-like.”
