Bride-to-be Janine was all set to tie the knot with her fiancé Johnny, but sadly it never happened.

He tragically passed away two months before their wedding day, leaving Janine grief-stricken.

To honor his memory, Janine decided to create a photo shoot at the Riviera Maya in Mexico in her wedding dress, which she had specially made by hand.

The pictures were taken by Matt Adcock of Riviera Maya-based wedding photography firm Del Sol Photography.

Moved by her story, Adcock wanted to make her wish come true, saying that it was one of the most inspiring things he had come across in his 10-year career.

The day of the shoot was very emotional for Janine, who had no idea what to expect. On Adcock’s part, he was brought to tears in the editing room and felt humbled for the opportunity to work on such a project.

In a post on the company’s website, Janine said she felt as though Johnny was smiling down on her during the shoot, giving her closure and the strength and courage to move on.

She also had this to say to anyone who has suffered a similar loss: “Listen to YOUR heart! You are the most important person and only YOU can help yourself [...] You are grieving and you need this time to really think about what you are going to do next. You have the right to cry and you have the right to be alone (but not too much alone) [...] Reach out for help and never apologize for your actions because you are strong and you will get through this!”
