Summer Haus Candle
We often associate the type of smells with an item or a memory that helps us identify the scent.
Boutique interior design firm Haus Interior wanted to help their online shoppers visualize the kind of smell their candle collection produces.
Together with photographer Sully Sullivan, the company created a collection of scent mood boards, arranged with objects that would “fill in the emotions and contexts of a smell that words might miss”.
For example, the smell for the ‘Summer Haus Candle’ was represented by topical fruits and ice-cream, juxtaposed against a vibrant yellow background to create a visual notion of the coconut and vanilla scent it carries.
