Amazingly Photorealistic Illustrations Of Foods On Beautiful Hermes Plates

At first glance, this series by artist CJ Hendry looks like photos of French designer plates holding an array of delicious foods.

Her series titled “50 foods in 50 days” feature CJ's trademark attention to detail, as seen previously here.

Hendry came up with the series when she wondered what her final meal would be if she was a death-row prisoner. The question arrested her ambitions and she soon started confining herself to a room to work on the series. She also decided that if she were to ever be in such an unfortunate circumstance, she would want her final meal to be served on a luxurious Hermes plate.

The collection is also challenging the traditional boundaries of art, as Hendry creates for 50 days straight and releases a new piece every 24 hours on her Instagram account. To match her series, an exhibition will be held in what will be a luxury gourmet food shop, juxtaposing her art with gourmet goods.

The series will next exhibit in Melbourne, Australia, followed by a show in New York. Head over to Hendry's Instagram account to follow this project.
