Alex who runs the Tumblr blog Something Classy, has recently discovered a trait that the female characters in Disney Pixar films share.
After seeing the promotional picture for the new Pixar Inside Out movie, she noticed that the face shapes of the male characters had extremely distinctive shapes, while the female characters all spot the same facial shape, which is round with a small nose.
Curious to find out if the other female faces were drawn the same way, she went on to trace the faces of both male and female characters from recent Disney Pixar movies, and was disturbed to find out that there was a lack of diversity among the female faces.
She wrote on her post, “the only face that girls get to have is some round snub-nosed baby face. That’s not right.”
