Istanbul-based artist Nermin Er creates fantastic paper art that resemble miniature worlds.
Using a scalpel to cut intricate designs and patterns into paper, her works feature layers of cityscapes, trees and even a deer against warmly lit backgrounds. Most of her works are intentionally circular and some are made to surround the moon, or a central figure.
The layering in each piece provides depth to her miniature silhouette worlds. Some of her works are designed to rotate slowly, and each turn transforms them into a spinning sphere of life.
