British menswear label Jacamo has recently conducted a study to find out what the “perfect” man looks like from the perspectives of both heterosexual men and women in the UK.
Interestingly, the study revealed extreme differences between the ideals shared between the two genders.
In the study, 62% of the men envisioned women going for a man with striking features like singer Justin Bieber’s hair, actor Gerard Butler’s face and model David Gandy’s torso.
Meanwhile, 72% of the women seem to prefer someone who looks more like the “boy next door”, citing features like Prince Harry’s hair, rugby player Ben Cohen’s torso and actor Paddy McGuinness’ arms.
As featured in a press release by Jacamo, “Men with well-toned bodies are, initially, regarded as attractive, but it is the man with the little bit of excess flab around the waist who often wins the day.”
