Meet ‘Penguin’—she’s a magpie from Newport, Australia, and she has struck up an unlikely friendship with the family that rescued her.
She was abandoned and discovered by the Bloom family in 2013 when she was a few weeks old, and was nursed back to health by them.
The family has since welcomed her in their home—she joins them for meals, playtime, and even helps the children prepare for school.
To capture their loving and unique friendship, the family created an Instagram account in her honor—she currently has over 25,000 followers.
