Japanese design powerhouse Nendo has collaborated with Italian suitcase company Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano to create a new suitcase, named the Kame.
The Kame is a hybrid suitcase that has a hard-shell as well as a fabric exterior. Designed with the seasoned traveller in mind, its design elements aim to make life less frustrating at common airport pain points.
For example, the Kame can be unzipped at the top when it is at an upright position. This lets one quickly dig out their passport while in line for customs. A clever retractable lock also allows you to lock your bag up if you should need to leave it unattended for a brief moment.
The fabric exterior of Kame is designed with a foldable configuration, so as you open it up, it can be folded and collapsed without taking up space.
The Kame can be purchased from Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano at a price of USD$190. It is available in shiro white, sun orange, eclipse blue, and wasabi green.
