We have previously featured London-based photographer Jenny Lewis here and here, for her beautiful portrait series “One Day Young”, which showcases mothers with their one-day-old babies.
After years of shooting these sweet and touching pictures—all taken within 24 hours of the babies’ birth—Lewis has recently turned the project into a lovely photo book.
According to the photographer, she wanted to “tell a story of the strength and resilience of women post-childbirth that [she] feels goes largely unacknowledged in today’s world”.
The book is now available for pre-order at Hoxton Mini Press—we think that it would make a fabulous gift for all mothers.
