This new camera is a worthy rival to the popular selfie stick. The portable Podo camera can stick to any solid surface with its magnet or suction pad and connect wirelessly to your smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing users to take photos, videos and timelapse GIFs.

The Kickstarter campaign by Podo Labs is ongoing but has already reached its goal. The eight megapixel Podo camera is controlled by a free iOS or Android app that allows users to share their photos directly on to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, text or email.

The Podo can capture video in 720p at 30 frames per second and has 4Gb of built-in memory with a battery that lasts up to two hours while capturing video. The compact device measures 2x2x1 inches and weighs 1.8 oz, and can be recharged using an included USB charging cable.

Just double tap the devide to switch it on, and use the back flap to expose a sticky pad that allows the device to stick on any surface. The design also includes a hinge that helps users achieve a bird's eye view. With these new features, it will be interesting to see the kind of pictures that users produce with it.
