Bright, Sensual Illustrations That Are Made Entirely On MS Paint

Miranda Lorikeet, a 25-year-old HR assistant based in Sydney, Australia, uses the very simple MS Paint to create illustrations of landscapes and abstract images to beautiful effect.

Working with photographs as references, Lorikeet exclusively uses MS Paint—she chooses her color palette and sketches the outline of the image before filling in the colors.

She exploits the program’s limited range of tools to execute the finishing touches of basic brushing, shading and detailing to add dimensions to her illustrations, delivering artworks that far exceed our expectations of what the basic graphic software can do.

Scroll down to view some of her fascinating work that combines the use of “happy” colors with surreal themes.
