In this new spot for Australia’s Transport Accident Commission, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne steered clear of the gruesome elements viewers would often expect from a road-safety commercial.
Instead, the agency adopted a softer but potentially more powerful approach in this 60-second spot.
Using puppetry and a minimalistic set-up, the ad appeals to parents to think twice about how they behave in front of their children, specifically when it comes to driving.
Hopefully, parents out there will remember this simple yet visceral image the next time they are on the verge of acting irresponsibly in front of their children, even beyond the confines of the car.
