Designer Recreates Vandalized Subway Posters On Her Own Face With Cosmetics

Lydia Cambron, a designer based in Brooklyn, has created a thought-provoking project where she recreates defaced subway posters on herself using cosmetics.

Mimicking the garish scribbles to remarkable likeness, Cambron has rearranged her hairstyle and clothes to match the poster girls, and voluntarily experiments with a multitude of bright lipstick, applying them well beyond her lips and painting her face with long, bold strokes in the name of art.

The results are both bizarre and fascinating, seemingly deriving beauty out of acts of vandalism.

Check out some of her "defaced" looks below, and more over at her portfolio here.
