Japanese artist Takahiro Hirabayashi creates incredibly dreamy, gorgeous portraits with a touch of the grotesque about them.
With their eyepatches, bloodstains and bullet wounds, his characters seem to have emerged from a post-apocalyptic world.
The combination of their morbid situations and delicate, angelic features gives them a thoroughly unsettling yet mesmerizing air; one feels unable to look away from them.
