Google Earth Images Transformed Into Mesmerizing Geometric Patterns

Federico Winer, an artist based in Buenos Aires, tours the world with Google Earth, transforming the various elements that make up our urban and natural landscapes into mesmerizing, eye-catching geometric patterns.

In his project, called ‘Ultradistancia’, he captures images of our diverse landscapes from an aerial view, before skillfully adjusting the colors to fascinating, almost unrecognizable degrees that reveal a surreal perspective of the face of our planet.

With the images remaining an accurate documentation of our Earth as seen from the top, the masterful tweaking and eventual mix of colors lend an element of fantasy to the overall visual reality of our Earth.

Check out some of Winer’s stunning work below, and the entire series here.
